![]() It's almost like the drivers side hot spot is angled to the left, while the passenger side is fine. It is more apparent when driving on roads with artificial light. The problem is I'm getting artifacts(?) when driving down the road. But I knew this when I bought them, as I don't do much driving with highs on anyways. So the difference between low and high is marginal at best. The lows are brighter (more lumens then Vled's) but the highs (rated output) are the same. Mind you the depth and orientation of the bulbs can be adjusted as well. But it was hard to get the latch to latch tightly. The fit into the housing was super tight, almost to a fault. Mainly on the first one I installed, then just duplicated the passenger side. And I spent 7 hours trying to adjust them (ocd). With the Vled's, I got decent cutoff but the light output was cloudy. I bought the same kit to replace the Vled's updated LMZ GEN 2.5 kit that they released this July (side note, they just released there LMZ platinum for presale with 20% off). Just a heads up before you buy the HR's gen 2 LED headlight kit. So you can get an idea of what I've looked at, here are the two options I'm considering. My question is, how much brighter is HID vs the LED, and what experience has anyone here had with them to help me decide which route to go? I can't say I've ever had a problem with anything LED, or had an LED on anything I've ever owned go out on me, but again, I have never used them as headlights. I don't know the exact numbers, but I have seen enough of them on the road to agree they're definitely brighter. For the HIDs, they're a bit less expensive, also about the same color, but the website claims HID bulbs are 3-5x brighter than a normal halogen bulb. LED lasts super long, is fairly bright (about 2250 lumens vs about 1400 lumens for stock halogen bulb), and has the nice 6700K white color for the ones I've been looking at. From what I've read, there are pro's and con's to each. I have found decently priced LED as well as HID kits. To be honest, I really like the look of the stock lights so I don't want to buy new assemblies, just the bulbs. Number is rounded up.I'm looking to upgrade my stock bulbs to either an LED or HID replacement. Does not include applicable tax or shipping costs.
